UCO alumni at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Université Catholique de l'Ouest is represented at this year's Olympic and Paralympic Games by several of its alumni. We wish them all the best of luck in winning a gold medal!

Thibaut Rigaudeau, who graduated fromIFEPSA 's STAPS degree program in 2014, will be taking part in the Paralympic Games. He has been awarded the title of Vice World Champion in Paratriathlon 2022. Visually impaired, he will compete with his guide in the para-triathlon event, which consists of 750m of open water swimming, 20km of cycling and 5km of running!

Marie-Eve Paget, IFEPSA-CAPEPS (2016), is a professional basketball player, French Champion (2021), 3x3 World Champion (2022). She will play her first match at the Olympic Games on Tuesday July 30 at 9.30pm on the Place de la Concorde, against the People's Republic of China.

On the organization side, Nahema Temarri, who graduated from UCO Papeete in 2011 with a degree in information and communication, is French Polynesia's Minister for Sport, Youth and Crime Prevention. She organizes the surfing events at the Olympic Games in Tahiti.

These careers reflect the diversity of the training and commitments of UCO alumni. We wish them every success at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
